Please note: you will be set off in waves based on the estimated finish time entered at the checkout.  

As you will be aware the event has been modified to ensure we can adhere to social distancing and the guidelines issued by RunBritain and UK Sport.

Please familiarise yourself with the measures that will be in place at the event HERE.

Thank you for your cooperation with the new regulations in place at the event, these are necessary to ensure a safe environment and mean that we can continue to provide race opportunities.

Race Packs 

If you entered before Thursday 8th October, you will receive a race pack in the post. If you entered after, a pack will be waiting for you to collect on the day. If you are expecting a pack in the post and do not receive it by Friday 16th October, please contact us.

You will not be able to run without a race number and chip.

NO CHIP MEANS NO TIME.

When you receive your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief Runner Information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency, and there are pens available at the registration desks.

 

Race Start 

The colour of your race number will relate to the wave you are starting in. This has been determined by the estimated finish time given when signing up.

Within the event village you will see the start line and each start area marked out with a corresponding coloured sign. When arriving please familiarise yourself with your start area.

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE WAVES.

Each wave will be called to the starting pen where our marshals will guide you into a start formation with 2 runners, all 2m apart, being started every 10 seconds.

The first runners will cross the line at 9:00am and you can expect each wave to follow shortly afterwards.

Red Wave – Wave 1 – Sub 35 mins
Blue Wave – Wave 2 – Sub 38 mins
Black Wave – Wave 3 – Sub 42 mins
Yellow Wave –  Wave 4 – Sub 45 mins
Purple Wave – Wave 5 – Sub 49 mins
Green Wave – Wave 6 – Sub 52 mins
Brown Wave – Wave 7 – Sub 56 mins
Dark Yellow Wave – Wave 8 – Sub 60 mins
Pink Wave – Wave 9 – Sub 64 mins
White Wave – Wave 10 – Sub 90 mins

We will be guiding you through the pens before your wave start time to ensure social distancing so please make sure you are in the correct location and ready to race before your start time. We will get you started as soon as it is safe to do so.

Please listen closely to all marshal instructions and remember to keep a safe distance from the runners around you. 

Travel

The roads and surrounding roads will be closed from 8:30am, so please don’t arrive late and give yourselves plenty of time.

Arley Hall is easily accessible by the motorways (M56 Junction 10 or M6 Junction 19 or 20). Follow this link for directions on how to get there HERE.

The event car park is located just a few minutes walk from the event village.

Toilets

There will be portaloos available within the event village.

Hygiene Stations

There will be multiple hygiene stations around the event village and start/finish area for all participants to use throughout the event. These will have hand sanitiser, tissue and bins for the disposal of any tissue or litter.

During the race

The race will be lead by an individual on a bike and a lead car.  The course is all on road with a short section of gravel at the start/finish. We will have marshals around the course so you can’t go wrong. You can see the course map HERE.

We have full road closures for the event and all our marshals and traffic management team have been fully briefed.

We will have marshals all around the course as well as KM signs and arrows. If you need to overtake on the course please be sure to take a wide berth around the runner in front.

Spitting and nasal clearance during the race is NOT permitted.

Spectators

Please be aware that due to social distancing and restrictions enforced upon us we ask that you do not bring any spectators with you to the event.

Refreshments

Please bring your own water to the event to avoid congestion on the course, there will be a limited amount of water at the water station at the 5k point. We recommend staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.

After the race

Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.

We ask that once you have collected your medal, goodies, t shirt and water to leave the event village as soon as possible to avoid groups congregating within the event village.

There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal, t shirt, flapjack and Kind Snack bar which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.

Results

Results will be available on www.cheshire10k.com after the race.
