CHESHIRE 10K – RACE INFORMATION

To limit the amount of cars entering the venue we would really appreciate if you would consider car sharing, please see our car share group HERE (feel free to post or comment on this forum).
The roads and surrounding roads will be closed from 9.00am, so please don’t arrive late and give yourselves plenty of time.
Race Numbers
If you entered on or before the 10th March you will receive your race pack in the post which should arrive by Thursday 19th March; this will include:
- Race number – you will receive one number to be attached to the front of your top. If you don’t have your own pins, we will have a supply on the day. Please ensure this is visible throughout the race.
- Timing chip – this should be attached to the laces on your shoe. There are instructions on the back of your chip on how to attach.
- Race Information – the details you need for race day.
When you receive your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief Runner Information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency, and there are pens available at the registration desks.
Without your chip you will not receive an official time, there will be a £5 charge for lost chips payable on the day that will go to the event charity. If you are expecting your pack in the post and do not receive it by the end of the day on Thursday 7th November please get in touch on [email protected].
If you entered on or after the 11th March you will need to COLLECT your race pack on the morning of the event from the event village.

Arley Hall is easily accessible by the motorways (M56 Junction 10 or M6 Junction 19 or 20). Follow this link for directions on how to get there HERE.
The event car park is located just a few minutes walk from the event village. This will also be the best car park for spectators, the Start & Finish are easily accessible for anyone interested in watching the event. Arley Hall is beautiful and will be well worth a walk around afterwards.
Toilets
We will have a number of portaloos at the event site.
Refreshments & Retailers
There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and at the finish. There will also be bananas and the famous RunThrough Flapjacks waiting for you to refuel at the finish.
There will be hot food and drink stalls within the event village so don’t forget to bring some change!

During the race
The race will be lead by an individual on a bike and a lead car. The course is all on road with a short section of gravel at the start/finish. We will have marshals around the course so you can’t go wrong. You can see the course map HERE.

We have full road closures for the event and all our marshals and traffic management team have been fully briefed.
There will be a water station at 5k and at the finish.
Spectators
The start and finish will be easily accessible for anyone wanting to come and watch the event. We have plenty of parking. Arley Hall is beautiful and will be well worth a walk around afterwards.
Medal & T-Shirts
You’ll be able to collect your medal and t-shirt at the end once you have finished the race.
Results
Results will be available on www.cheshire10k.com after the race.
Pictures
We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be up on Facebook after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.
